Elzette Du Preez, who lovingly crafts this MCC from the heart, is especially impressed with the 3^rd vintage of De Grendel Brut: “The weather conditions in 2009 – a wet and cold winter and high temperatures in high-summer – all played along to produce beautifully concentrated flavours.  It has that delicious fresh apple flavour that’s so desirable with sweet tropical fruit – all backed by some biscuit richness. I also love the mineral crispness that comes through.”

Elzette recommend savouring De Grendel Brut on its own, or indulge even further by treating yourself to some luxury food like oysters, duck liver flavoured with truffle shavings. “I also love it with smoked salmon, find it beyond beautiful with beluga, and just brilliant with sushi and sashimi.” If you can resist the temptation to drink it all now, the De Grendel MCC Brut will easily keep for another two years.”
